Five Practices
Five panes
of one window
Studied separately, designed to overlap. A life is not lived in categories, and the interesting things happen where these five meet — the ritual that shapes the meal, the room that decides the rhythm, the garment that changes how you enter a house.
01
Kindred
Apps that become an extension of the person, and carry them toward the people they belong with.
02
Dwelling
Tiny houses, interiors, household objects, and the village and land that hold them.
03
Rhythm
Rituals that hold the essentials structurally, so the day stays free for creative living.
04
Adornment
Clothing that supports and elevates each singular body, in material worth celebrating.
05
Nourishment
A food library tuned to a person's taste and body — nourishment from the physical to the soul.
Why these five
They are the surfaces you cannot opt out of. You will eat, sleep somewhere, wear something, keep some kind of rhythm, and reach for other people. Everything else in a life is optional in a way that these are not.
A well-made week is felt fifty-two times a year. A garment that fits properly is felt every time it is worn.
